November 25th officially declared “Magazine Street Day” In New Orleans
The New Orleans City Council is declaring that Saturday, November 25th , known across the country as Small Business Saturday, is Magazine Street Day. The day will honor the six-mile stretch of local entrepreneurship; artists, restaurateurs, merchants and local business innovators.
For over 150 years, Magazine Street has been a significant thoroughfare of New Orleans, attracting locals and visitors. The corridor offers architecture that is uniquely New Orleans, housing both residential and commercial properties. Magazine Street is “main street USA” in true New Orleans style. Annual events on Magazine Street include Champagne Stroll, Art for Art’s Sake and Merriment on Magazine Street.
