Please join us for Merriment on Magazine, held the first Saturday of December. Dec. 3 2011

Merriment on Magazine Street - Santa Claus visits, Christmas carolers, live music, trunk shows, refreshments and “hot NOLA firefighters” are among the highlights of the kick off of the boutique strip’s annual holiday shopping season. Stores will stay open until 7pm (or later) on Dec. 3, Dec. 10; Dec. 17; and Christmas Eve. Magazine Street businesses also will be competing in a decorated storefront contest, and daily online prize giveaways will be offered through the Magazine Street Facebook page starting on Dec. 3 and continuing through Christmas Eve.

2011 Fall Class Schedule

Hi everyone!

We are excited to share our 2011 Fall Class Schedule with you. We have a TON of new classes, guest instructors, and new techniques to share with you. One of the beading types we have always been a bit afraid of, are those beautiful seed bead weaving projects. But guess what? We finally found some projects and instructors that helped us overcome our fear of seed beads! They are MUCH easier to work with than we thought, and the pieces are absolutely stunning. We are in the process of taking all of the "official" class example photos, but we wanted to give you a few sneak peek photos of whats to come. Join us in welcoming Phil and his traveling bead trunk show to The Big Easy! He'll be driving in from GA to display his huge assortment of beads, findings, stones, pearls, pendants, carvings, bulk findings, chain and more! We'll have tables and tables of trunk show inventory, all at WHOLESALE prices. This means, you get to enjoy those "bead show" prices, without the "bead show" exhaustion...all while supporting your favorite local bead store! :) I asked Phil what we could expect to see on this trip and he said...
